Alvis TD21 108/G Graber Willowbrook body only 16 made, sunroof, airco, ZF 5-speed 1955

General description : This beautiful Alvis TC 108/G is one of the rare models with the Graber-Willowbrook body made by the Loughborough based Willowbrook. Alvis gave Willowbrook the licence to make the Swiss Graber bodies. It soon transpired that these hand-beaten panels by Willowbrook were far to expensive and therefore affected sales. The price of these cars was higher than the Aston Martin DB2/4. In total only 37 examples were made. Of the 37, 21 went over to Switzerland for a Graber body. Willowbrook finished the other 16 for the English market. Our car is the rare Willowbrook number 12. Rumour has it that only four cars are still around worldwide. In 1956 Mr Simmons, then director of Red-Triangle and well known Alvis specialist and Monte-Carlo racing driver acquired the car. It took until 1992 before the Alvis changed hands. This time it fell into the hands of a Dutch enthusiast. He commissioned a complete overhaul and restoration. One can still easily appreciate the high quality of the splendid restoration today! In 1994 it was ready to be enjoyed. After 10 years of pure motoring pleasure it was sold on to a friend, who went on to enjoy the car for another 15 years. Throughout its life this Alvis has been treated with the care and attention it deserves. It is little wonder that this Alvis still remains in a superb condition. The bodywork, the straight panels and all chrome parts are all in a particularly fine state . The interior trim is very neat with a lovely patina. This Alvis has power steering, hidden stereo, electric sunroof, special cylinder head, aircon, rear height adjustment and a ZF 5-speed gearbox. This Alvis has no trouble at all in keeping up with the traffic; it is such a joy to drive! This is a true unique English Gentleman’s’ sport coupé, one of only a handful known to have survived! About Alvis TD21
Differentiating between the Alvis TA 21, TD 21, TF 21, and TE 21 can be challenging as they belong to the same series of Alvis models and share similar styling cues. However, there are a few key distinguishing factors:

Badge and Model Name:
The models can be identified by their badges and model names. The TA 21 typically carries the "TA 21" badge on the grille or rear of the car. The subsequent models, TD 21, TF 21, and TE 21, would have corresponding badges indicating their model names.
Grille Design:
The grille design can provide a clue to identify the different models. The TA 21 usually features a simpler and narrower grille compared to the later models. The TD 21, TF 21, and TE 21 have a wider and more prominent grille with additional chrome detailing.
Bumper Configuration:
The bumper configuration can vary between the models. The TA 21 often has a single-piece bumper, while the later models like the TD 21, TF 21, and TE 21 feature larger and more pronounced bumpers with additional overriders.
Rear Design:
The rear design of the cars can also help in distinguishing between the models. The TA 21 typically has a more rounded rear end with smaller tail lights. The later models, such as the TD 21, TF 21, and TE 21, have a squarer rear design with larger and more elaborate tail lights.
Interior Features:
Examining the interior features can provide further clues. The later models, like the TD 21, TF 21, and TE 21, often offer more luxurious and modern interior appointments, including upgraded materials, additional instruments, and improved comfort features.
It's important to note that these distinguishing factors are general guidelines, and there can be variations and specific details within each model. If you are looking to identify a specific Alvis model accurately, it is recommended to consult an Alvis expert or refer to official documentation and records associated with the vehicle
