Masterpiece has to offer this rare 1988 Eagle Premier ES, that looks and sounds great and for its age is in very good shape with only 77,958 miles.

The Eagle Premier was developed cooperatively between Renault and AMC, styled by Giugiaro and built in Canada, these cars have been essentially extinct for a decade or more, and this one serves as an excellent reminder of AMC's late, ambitions. With its square appearance, these cars were slightly more aerodynamic than the first-generation Taurus. Styled by Giugiaro's Italdesign, the Premier was initially marketed as an AMC, but very few were badged as AMC due to Chrysler's takeover just weeks after sales began in late '87.

The Eagle you see here looks clean, straight and shiny with its original Dover Gray Metallic paint which presents very well. The interior presents as well as the exterior, and the car's cloth and eight speaker Jensen AM/FM Cassette deck and full power options reflect its high range ES trim level. The ES options include power windows, power door locks, AM/FM/Cassette with power antenna, cold air conditioning and power brakes. Take note, the control pods on either side of the steering column, which the Eagle is well known for, designed to be easily reached at fingertip length from the steering wheel. There is lots of legroom and a big trunk which was somewhat unusual with the general downsizing trend among automakers at the time.

Power comes from the 3.0-liter PRV (Peugeot, Renault, Volvo) V6. When you turn the key the engine fires up and is reliable and smooth. The Premier is paired with the 4-speed automatic and shifts through the gears smoothly.
