This lot is a must have for a serious AMC Marlin collector/restorer
Last winter we had an older women stop by our shop who drove her little red AMC Marlin all the way from Ellington Missouri. Her late husband was a serious AMC Marlin enthusiast and collector who was involved with Marlins for the past four decades and restored many models over the years. She wanted us to help her sell the red Marlin she drove to the shop and the two parts cars left at her farm in Ellington. We put up her red Marlin up for sale first and then recently sold it out of the country. At a later date we made the trip to Ellington Missouri and picked up these two 1966 Marlins that are pretty much complete and packed full of extra Marlin hard to find parts. Over the years the husband restored and collected many 1966 Marlins and a lot of those parts ended up being stored in these two cars and that is why you will see five radiators, enough trim to outfit multiple cars and many other extras that cover more than just two cars.
Please take a good look at the photos as we spread most of the parts out to give an idea what is included. This lot is a must have for any serious AMC Marlin collector or restorer as the parts have become very hard to come by in todays market. The two bodies appear to be pretty decent and could be restorable as they have been stored in a dry barn for the past 20 years.
The Blue Marlin is #47 and the White Marlin is #211 for the production of 1966. Both left the Kenosha factory with the AMC 287ci V8 and 3 speed automatic transmission.
These two cars are currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Both are sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, exempt mileage Missouri titles for each car.
Both cars and parts must be purchased together, no separating of parts or cars.

About AMC Marlin
The AMC Marlin was a mid-size fastback coupe produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC) from 1965 to 1967. It was designed as a sporty and distinctive alternative to the more common muscle cars of the era. The Marlin's design was significant in its era and played a role in American culture for a few key reasons:

Unique Fastback Design: The Marlin featured a unique fastback roofline design, characterized by a sloping rear end that seamlessly merged into the trunk. This design was unconventional for the time and gave the Marlin a sleek and aerodynamic appearance.
Distinctive Styling: The Marlin's overall styling was distinctive and stood out among other cars on the road. It had a long and sculpted hood, muscular fenders, and a wide front grille. The fastback roofline flowed smoothly into the rear end, giving it a streamlined and sporty look.
Emphasis on Personal Luxury: The Marlin was marketed as a "personal luxury" car, offering a combination of style, comfort, and performance. It aimed to provide a more refined and upscale driving experience compared to traditional muscle cars, appealing to a different segment of buyers.
Cultural Impact: The Marlin represented a shift in automotive design during the mid-1960s. It showcased AMC's commitment to creating unique and individualistic vehicles that deviated from the mainstream offerings of larger automakers. The Marlin's design reflected the changing tastes and desires of consumers during that era.
Limited Production and Collectibility: The Marlin had relatively low production numbers, making it a rarer find compared to other cars of the time. Its unique design and historical significance contribute to its collectibility and desirability among classic car enthusiasts.
While the Marlin did not achieve the same level of commercial success as some of its competitors, it made a lasting impact on automotive design and American culture. Its distinctive fastback styling, emphasis on personal luxury, and representation of AMC's approach to individualistic vehicle design set it apart in its era and continue to make it an intriguing piece of automotive history.
