Are you a Stovebolter? Would you like to become one? MotoeXotica Classic Cars offers a passport to that universe in the form of this 1930 Chevrolet Series LR 1 ½-ton flatbed Truck, complete with Chevy’s “Stovebolt Six.”
This truck was made in General Motors’ St. Louis, Missouri assembly plant (VIN code 3) and it was formerly on display in a Nebraska vehicle museum.  It has undergone a comprehensive restoration and was done with the body off the frame and looks immaculate!
The black paint and trim are in excellent condition. There are new wood trim pieces with a new wood flatbed, a rebuilt oaken box and an external sun visor.  This would be welcomed in ant museum on display in front of your company.
This truck rolls on new Firestone Deluxe Champion, gum-dipped tires, size 6.50-20 in the back and 6.00-20 in the front. Each tire is wrapped around a black solid disc wheel with silver trim, six-lug in the front and 10-lug in the back. The tires and wheels are in excellent order and the wheels add a distinctive look compared to the typical wooden spokes of the period.
Under the hood is Chevy’s 194 CID straight six, also known as the “Stovebolt Six,” because the bolts that held the engine together resembled the bolts that were commonly used to assemble wood stoves. This engine used a forged steel crankshaft with three bearings and cast-iron pistons. Nineteen thirty was the second year for GM’s “Cast-iron Wonder” in its Chevy cars and trucks, surpassing the four-cylinder in Ford’s Model AA. Backing this motor is a four-speed manual transmission.
The truck’s bodywork is straight and solid, its black from bumper looks good, and the truck’s engine bay is extremely tidy. Note that this truck has only a driver’s side taillight and windshield wiper.
Inside, the split black bench seat is in excellent condition, with new upholstery while matching mats keep the floor tidy. There are oak inner door panels and a matching headliner that look fantastic and the four-spoke steering wheel with its wood rim also looks great. The instrument panel, with its usual minimal gauges, is in excellent order. The floor-mounted shift lever looks good, too.
Competition to this Chevy in 1930 included the Fargo Freighter and Ford’s Model AA. Pre-WWII collectors and early era Chevrolet collectors will appreciate this Series LR truck for its simplicity, its function and how easily and correctly it operates. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
