Aston Martin Vanquish Vanquish 5.9 Only 18.000 miles! Price incl. 21% VAT! 2003

General description : The Aston Martin Vanquish is a masterpiece of design by Ian Callum. It was the official successor to the Aston Martin Virage. Scientists like to describe this kind of step as being a “Quantum leap”. Where the Virage was archaic in both form and production, the Vanquish was a contemporary design using ultra-modern technology of the year 2000. It should be considered a proper "Tour de force”, a gigantic leap forwards in comparison to every Aston that had gone before. It has a composite and aluminium chassis. Its beating heart is a 5.9 litre V12 which in our case drive a robotised 6-speed gearbox. The description of an Aston Martin Vanquish wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the Jame Bond movie “Die another day”, especially as our car happens to be clad in the same “Tungsten Silver” coat. This originally American supplied car arrived in The Netherlands in 2016. Since it arrived in The Netherlands it has only had one owner who also happened to be an entrepreneur. The latter means that in the Netherlands the car qualifies for business VAT relief status of 21%. The car has always been maintained in an exemplary fashion. Maintenance was carried out by Aston Martin dealerships in the States and by specialist firms in the Netherlands. The car is also extremely well documented. A full car wallet is present as well as a large file containing import papers, a Carfax rapport, pictures of the American purchase test and invoices. Everything seems in order and consistent with the car’s overall condition. Standing next to the Tungsten Silver paintwork you cannot be but impressed with its quality and condition. The aluminium “Super formed” bodywork is in perfect condition. The nice and thin panelwork is perfectly aligned. The full leather and aluminium interior trim are stunning. It has started to develop a lovely patina without signs of wear and tear. As you quite rightly should expect from a car of this calibre, it is fully decked out. It has Sat-Nav, a Linn sound system, full leather upholstery, flappy paddles, cruise control and electronically adjustable seats. In short, this is the ultimate, perfectly decked out British Grand Tourer. It is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful cars designed over the last 20 years and the perfect candidate to cruise the highways and byways of Europe in style and at speed. All you have to do once arrived is to order the Martini. Shaken not stirred! Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975! About Aston Martin
Aston Martin, one of Britain's best known sports car manufacturer, was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford.

During its chequered financial history the company has had numerous owners taking over the company, Sir David Brown just to mention one.

Between the wars Bertelli was both technical director and designer of all new Aston Martins, thus known as "Bertelli cars". These included the 1½-litre "T-type", "International", "Le Mans", "MKII" its racing version, the "Ulster", and the 2-litre 15/98 and its race going derivative, the "Speed Model".

During the war years the company produced aircraft components.

In 1947, Aston was purchased and thus saved by Sir David Brown. The company also acquired Lagonda the same year for its 2.6-litre W. O. Bentley-designed engine. Both companies shared resources and workshops creating the iconic "DB" series of cars. In 1950, they presented the DB2, followed by the DB2/4 in 1953, the DB2/4 MkII in 1955, the DB Mark III in 1957.

DB4 with its strong Italian flavor and construction was introduced in 1958. The lightweight superleggera (tube-frame) body was designed by Carrozzeria Touring in Milan. Although the design and construction techniques were Italian, the DB4 was the first Aston to be built at the company's Newport Pagnell works in Buckinghamshire, England. The six-cylinder engines of these cars from 1954 up to 1965 were designed by Tadek Marek. Despite initial problems with cracking engine blocks DB4 was a success that really established the make together with its later derivates DB5, of James Bond Goldfinger fame, and more civilized DB6 Grand Tourer.

With the all new model DBS in the late 60's the company went to eight cylinder configuration when it was modified to Aston Martin v8 – a sort of Gentleman's muscle car.
