Chevrolet C10 1959

General description : Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one gorgeous pickup truck, The 1959 Chevrolet Apache. Now all manufactueres had there que names for these chassis, these just so happened to be name the “task force” chassis. The Chevrolet Task Force was Chevrolet's successor to the Advance Design trucks. The Task Force series ran from late 1955 through 1959. At GMC locations, it was called the Blue Chip Series. The 1955 model year started with the offered standard options and add-ons such as 12-volt electrical systems, the first V8 (the 265 cubic inch), and fleet-side six-, seven-, and eight-foot length beds. Now this particular Chevy for sale has went waaay beyond the rest of its brethren with the restoration. A full frame off restoration was completed 10 years ago and the truck still looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Modernizing the chassis and suspension was first on the list so power brakes and updated chassis parts were a must. Disk brakes made their way to the front of the truck. The powertrain has also changed quite a bit too! With a crate engine from Jegs.com this stout 350ci smallblock pumps out a very serious 300+hp! Backing the heartbeat is a 700R4 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. A 12 bolt rear end plants the power and a Midnight metallic blue makes the mouths water. The inside was stuffed with gorgeous 2 tone leather and the truck is fully optioned out and ready to ride! Options on this gorgeously restored 1959 Chevy for sale include: am/fm/cd radio, leather seats, power steering seat belts, power brakes, AC and aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
