Description : Gateway classic cars of Nashville is please to digitally present to you this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, a classic American muscle car that combines power, style, and comfort. This model comes in a sleek black exterior with deep red rally stripes and a vibrant red interior, creating a striking contrast that will cause jaws to drop. The owner tells us that this beauty was rebuilt at Fantom Works in Norfolk VA. Now anyone who has watched an episode will tell you Dan Short is passionate about cars and insists on building a proper car. I questioned the owner about Dan and was told that, while the customer wanted four wheel disc brakes, Dan thought that was over kill and stuck to his guns, so, the car has front disc and rear drums, as it should. Now there is plenty of stopping power with drilled and slotted front rotos paired with Baer calipers up front, and drums in the back.

If you want the old school classic car appearance with modern day muscle under the hood look no further! The look, the feel, absolutely everything is there with this car. Everyday driver, check! Show it off, check! Race it, check! LOL, as I said LOOK NO FURTHER. The ONLY thing this car needs is YOU driving it.

The stance on this car is wicked with 225/45/ZR17s up front and 255/55/ZR18s in the rear tucked up in what I believe is the factory wheel well. This car is an instant attention grabber, heck, you are reading this right?

Under the hood, you'll find a new LS3 6.2 V8 crate engine that delivers impressive performance, speed and fuel economy. I know MPG is not normally something you read about in a muscle car but these LS3 create a lot of power on a little bit of gas. This efficient LS3 is paired with a Tremec 5-Speed manual transmission, making this classic is ready to cruise to the show or on the strip.

This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is not just about power and looks, as if that is not enough, it comes equipped with air conditioning to keep you cool during those hot summer drives and power brakes and power steering, providing you with greater control and ease of handling.

If the sweet sound of the LS is too much, this Chevelle SS is fitted with an AM/FM radio, allowing you to enjoy your favorite tunes as you cruise down the road. The car also comes with aluminum wheels that not only add to its stylish appearance but also offer durability and improved performance.

Hot rod shops pop up and then disappear with out a trace, but the ones like Fantom Works that do right by the car and the customer, seem to flourish as they build a proper car. So ask yourself this, do you want to spend the same amount of money on one that "Bud" built with parts from who know where and then wonder why he cut so many corners, or one that you know was built to Dan's standards? This is the one and if not now, when?

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
