1996 was the final year for the C4 generation.
While this generation currently does not get a lot of credit it laid the foundation for what the platform has become today!
Only the manual transmission models in 1996 received the LT4 engine while this automatic version has the LT1 - a plenty stout engine especially at this mileage. For ease of cruising these vehicles came with a 4-speed automatic transmission that is incredibly highway friendly and actually pretty economical!
