Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Nashville Tennessee is proud to digitally present this 1957 Chevrolet Corvette. America first sports car was an instant success and this C1 Corvette was the king of the road and the cause of envy everywhere it was driven in 1957. Flash forward 65 Years and while the C1 still causes people to stop and stare the original drivetrain just doesn’t stand up to todays modern muscle. So, what to do? Well, the answer to that question these days seems to be simple, put an LS engine in it. What a great mix of olde school cool and modern muscle! The LS1 in this classic has been treated to a hat full of go fast goodies like Professional products fuel rails and intake not mention shorty headers. Backing this power plant is a four-speed automatic transmission which is twice as many as the original power glide. Wilwood calipers on all four corners with drilled and slotted rotors up front. Now, I know you have seen the photos and have seen that this car is clean, fresh and the paint looks great. The interior looks mostly original but with new super soft leather stretched over the seats. It is obvious that this car has been totally restored to high standards! Heck, even the undercarriage looks clean. Now often a car like this is built to look at and this is no exception but this car rocks and rolls like a champ! This is a car is so much fun to drive that a short trip to the store for the wife might have you calling form the next state over to get that list from her once more before you head home. Options for this 1957 Chevrolet Corvette include: Air conditioning, AM/FM radio, Power steering and brakes, Power windows, Leather interior, Alloy rims and radial tires.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
