Jaguar Mk2 3.4 '67 1967

General description : Late January 1967 model Holy trinity: power, luxury and a lot of space Big trunk The Jaguar MK2 was the saloon that filled Jaguar’s line-up from 1959 to 1969, it was not just any saloon being the fastest saloon on earth for a while. The MK2 was offered in three different engine configurations depending on the customer's needs and desires. The interior maintained the same classic British luxury, was finished leather seats and high-quality wood accents. Everything was in harmony, and this harmony was strengthened by the powerful six-cylinder engine under the hood. In the sixties, Jaguar's slogan was ‘Grace...space...pace.’ The Jaguar MK10 was responsible for ‘space’, as it was really big. The E-Type claimed ‘pace’, which was understandable as it was faster than a lightning bolt. That left ‘grace’, which the MK2 delivered in spades. Its curved smooth lines, its chrome window frames, and its spoked wheels all contributed to a harmonious whole called the Jaguar MK2. The long and stalwart hood covers a 2483 cc, 3442 cc, or 3781 cc in-line six-cylinder engine, depending on the customer's preference, which delivered more power the larger the engine and produced 120 hp, 210 hp, or 220 hp, respectively, which was nothing to scoff at. In 1967, Jaguar updated the MK2, or rather, discontinued it, at least by name. Production of the 3.8 stopped, the 2.4 and 3.4 continued under the respective model codes 240 and 340. The new models were cheaper, and the 240 was 13 hp more powerful and faster than before, thanks to SU carburettors that replaced the earlier Solex carburettors. The leather seats were redesigned and were now made from cheaper yet high-quality materials. Jaguar MK2 3.4 The Jaguar MK2 brought modality to Jaguar’s MK2 series. Positioned right in between the 2.4 and the 3.8, it served as the perfect compromise for customers with ‘decision anxiety’. As the name suggests, under the hood lies a 3.4L engine that effortlessly produces 210 horsepower, matching perfectoly with the Jaguar luxury it comes with. Visually, the distinction in engines is made through trunk badges and the Jaguar logo at the front, which indicates the specific model variant. The 3.4 model was manufactured from 1959 to 1967, with a total sale of just over 28,000 units. The MK2 is an open classic car that is respected by a wide audience. About Jaguar Mk2
The Jaguar Mk2 3.8 manual overdrive is a classic sports sedan produced by the British automaker Jaguar Cars from 1959 to 1967. The Mk2 was the successor to the earlier Mk1, and the manual overdrive version was an option for those who preferred a more engaging driving experience.

The Mk2 manual overdrive was powered by a range of engines, including a 2.4-liter, 3.4-liter, and 3.8-liter inline-six engines. These engines produced up to 220 horsepower and were paired with a four-speed manual gearbox that featured an overdrive gear, which allowed for more relaxed cruising at high speeds.

The Mk2 manual overdrive had advanced suspension and braking systems, with independent suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels. It also had a luxurious interior with leather seats, wood trim, and a range of options such as air conditioning and power windows.

The Mk2 manual overdrive was known for its exceptional handling and performance, with a top speed of up to 125 mph and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 8.5 seconds. Its design was also innovative for its time, featuring a unitary construction and a four-wheel independent suspension.
