Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Nashville is proud to digitally present this 1946 Chevrolet 2 door coupe. This is a wonderful example of a quality-built street rod built to last. Powering this Burgundy beauty is a stout 350CI V8 motor paired to the trusted 350 turbo transmission putting out plenty of power through that 10-bolt rear end for those long weekend drives or putting down a little rubber at the local car show. This 1946 Chevrolet was painted in a beautiful Burgundy paint with subtle but classy pinstripes across the front and back. A massive chrome front bumper and grill really compliment the dark burgundy paint well, and to top it off a nice set of chrome mags was added to bring this car up to date a bit. Open up that long hood and you will find a nice and tight engine bay that has been painted and smoothed out. In that engine bay sits the 350CI V8 all dressed up with a polished intake manifold, Edelbrock Carburetor, after market AC compressor, Chrome valve covers and cooled through a nice aluminum radiator. Assisting with the drivability of this 1946 Chevy is a Heidts Independent Front Suspension with large front disk brakes and a upgraded power brake booster to stop this beast on a dime. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
