Chevrolet El Camino 283 V8 1965

General description : 1965 Chevrolet El Camino One of the coolest cars ever created was the classic El Camino.  These classics combined the look of a Chevelle with the functionality of a pickup.  Suddenly people could utilize a bed without having to sacrifice style.  This 1965 El Camino has a nice look and is being offered up at a great price.  The body has no issues and is coated in a bright Red paint.  Black racing stripes grace the hood and it has a new Black vinyl top lining the rood.  All new floor pans have been put in place the rid the car of any problem areas.  The chrome and stainless is all in good shape with a nice finish.  The rear bed has a new Line-X liner keeping it looking good no matter what you throw in the back. The Mag wheels are also new and are wrapped with new Fuzion touring tires.  Under the hood is an entirely rebuilt 283 V8 motor.  The block, heads and manifold are all painted Chevrolet Orange which looks good with the chrome Edelbrock valve covers and circle air cleaner.  Some components include the new manifold, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, new fuel pump, HEI distributor and single wire alternator.  Backing up the motor is a rebuilt 4 speed transmission with factory linkage.  The clutch system is all new and the flywheel and pressure plate has been resurfaced.  A brand new power steering system was installed in the car which includes all new steering box, pump, hoses and pulleys.  Drum brakes are on all four corners and utilize a new power brake booster to provide strong stopping power.  New shocks were installed all around and the car cruises down the road smoothly.    The interior is done in a two tone Red and Black that has a fresh look.  The dash has that stock appearance but all new gauges have been installed.  A separate gauge pod has also been mounted below the dash to house the oil, temp, and amp gauge.  A woodgrain steering wheel is in place and is fixed with a Chevrolet horn button.  This is a nice driving classic as is but also has a lot of potential should you decide to take it even further.  Sold-Please check out our other cars!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
