Chevrolet Malibu 307 V8 1970

General description : Description
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has the great hardtop look of a true icon. So as you look over all the different correct, original, and surviving features on this period-correct machine, it really gives you the feeling of a V8-powered time capsule.
The reason these Chevelles have remained so popular is because they represent the best of the era. Many of these have been sacrificed for SS tributes over the years, and so it's great to see one that retains the premium Malibu style. And the reason why this continues to look so stock is because people have respected its originality for over half a century. Even the Autumn Gold paint shows the right signs of being the same they sprayed at the Arlington factory back in 1970! The finish isn't perfect, and that's exactly how you want it, because it helps tell this coupe's survivor story. The luster it has today give a nice golden glow in the sunshine. Plus, there are the right premium Malibu touches, like the form-hugging chrome bumpers and the grille with color streak through the center. Good body lines mean the trim that starts at the headlight and runs all the way around the roof looks like an almost unbroken line. It will be hard to find anything that's out of place on this true classic. We even like the look of the upgraded 17-inch alloys that look like classic SS mags but allow you to fit better/modern tires. But purists will be happy that the original wheels and hubcaps come with the sale, too.
This car has averaged under 800 miles annually, and that less use is really seen in the clean quality of the survivor interior. So you really get to see the vintage details, like the intricate pattern on the cloth seating. The dash is smooth; the door panels are intricate; the headliner is excellent; and there's plenty of room across the wide bench seats to share this hardtop with family and friends. And because this is a premium Malibu, it even had factory air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) This is really a time machine on wheels, and so even the factory AM radio is still cranking out tunes.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see if you love originality. It's the numbers-matching 307 cubic-inch V8. It really does a terrific job of driving home the look of a survivor car with the full honesty of the presentation. While this one has ultra-low mileage, we bet you'll enjoy adding to the odometer on your way to the survivor shows. And with the three-speed automatic transmission, you can comfortably enjoy period-correct cruising at its best. Add in power steering, power brakes, front discs, and modern tires, and you know this Malibu was made to cruise.
Complete with owner's manual, this is an awesome time capsule. If you're into survivor cars, you know how special it is to find a true Malibu from this era. Call now!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
