Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1973 Chevrolet Malibu! Debuting in 1964 Chevrolet unveiled the Malibu. Named after the coastal community of Malibu, California. Coastal cities provided names for more than one Chevy model. The Malibu would certainly see many design changes over the years and its success has been very strong. Spanning over 40 years with a gap in the middle the Malibu, now in its 9th generation is the only 4-door family sedan still made by Chevrolet. Here we have a '73 Model, first year of the 3rd generation. The two-tone brown paint with beige vinyl top looks in good shape and tan vinyl interior follows suite with normal signs of wear. Under the hood is the believed original 350ci V8 backed by a turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. Owner states that the car had the quarter panels and rockers replaced 12 years ago. Current owner claims to be the 3rd owner and that the car has about 32,000 miles on it since the rebuild. Odometer was replaced at that time. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now. Options on this Malibu include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Hub Caps, AM Radio, Seat Belts, Rally Wheels, and Radial Tires. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
