Description : Gateway classic cars of Nashville is proud to digitally present this 1965 Chevrolet Nova. Some call these wonderful cars Chevy II, some duce coupes others Nova but from what I have heard Nova means not going in Spanish which I think is Tonto, look it up. Yes, the lone ranger called his sidekick Fool for years as in “Fool, go to town and get the Sheriff". OK, so much for the Spanish lesson. This stunning 1965 Chevy II has one sweet paint job! Bright Orange as in, what was that bright orange object that just passed me? For years, these Duce coupes have been targeted as the right car to slide a huge horsepower engine in to and then go racing. This is one of them. The 350 Cubic inch Chevrolet small block providing the power for this car is more than adequate to get the groceries home before the ice cream melts and embarrass the Mustang beside you, well almost. The engine bay is packed with go fast goodies like, Wieland® Team G single plane intake, Holley® double pumper 4-barrel Carburetor, MSD® distributor and ignition box 6al, and long tube headers. This little duce coupe hits a lick! Backing this mighty mouse is a powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission that is controlled via a Hurst® ratchet shifter. I believe the rear axle housing is a 12-bolt gm but must admit that I am not good at identifying these, guess I am a little tonto. Power brakes with disc up front and drum in the rear handle the task of bringing all these ponies to a stop. The interior is Taupe vinyl on the bucket front seat and bench back and is not cluttered by power window and heated seat switches because, SPEED has no need for these things. This is wild litte car, fun to drive, great to look at and no melted ice cream and that's not tonto! Options for this 1965 Chevy dos include: AM radio but who needs music with the beautiful notes coming from the exhaust, Power brakes, ok, you need those, Seat belts, check, Vinyl interior and radial tires wrapped around Alloy rims. About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
