Chevrolet Other 5.7L V8 FI OHV 2000

General description : For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a fourth generation 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. Only 62,267 miles have been driven in this 6-speed manual Z28, which also features T-Top roof style. Options for this 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Driver Seat, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Traction Control, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Driver and Passenger Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, and Rear Window Defogger. The fourth generation Camaro was produced by Chevrolet from 1993 to 2002. Offered as a 2 door, 2+2, and was available as a coupe (hard top or optional T-Tops) or a convertible. Standard was the rear wheel drive, and engine options included the pushrod V6 and the V8 engines (LT1 and later the LS1). Transmission choices ranged from a 4-speed automatic, 5-speed manual, and the 6-speed manual. In 1998 the 4th generation Camaro saw vast changes. The most obvious to the naked eye was the revised front clip. The most notable however, was the change from the LT1 to the LS1 V8 powerplant. The LS1 was rated at 305 horsepower in 1998, and was about 95 lbs lighter than the LT1 due to the use of an aluminum cylinder block as opposed to the iron block of the LT1. Minor changes to the suspension took place as well as the brakes being increased in size. In 2000 most changes were purely cosmetic, as a new 4 spoke steering wheel replaced the previous 2 spoke steering wheel. Also a new 10 spoke, 16 inch wheel was available as an option alongside the old 5 spoke wheel. Powering this particular 2000 Camaro Z28 is the much desired combination of the LS1 V8 engine with the 6 speed manual transmission. Custom headers and 3" Borla exhaust have been added to provide an awesome sound, and better performance. This 2000 Camaro is finished in the Pewter exterior paint which matches the light brown leather interior perfectly. This Camaro also features the classic T-Top roof panel, which in my opinion will never go out of style. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
