Chevrolet Suburban 235 1952

General description : Cruisin Classics has a hard to find, 1952 Chevrolet Suburban that needs to find a new home. This beautiful blast from the past came our way once we saw how this one looked and ultimately ran. The beautiful 2 tone paint of Metallic Champagne Silver below and Metallic Root Beer on top. The contrast of the two paints are quite amazing and pleasant to the eye. The Suburban is ready for anything including the weather with heater, defroster and wipers all in working order.
The manual 4 speed operates easily and it is matched with a 235 cubic inch, inline 6 that runs and sounds as it should. The engines casting # 3835911 is an era correct motor.
The transmission has a casting # of GM 591907 which is also an era correct SM420 4 Speed manual. It has a casting date of E202 which is May 20, 1952.
Mileage of "4" is N/A and the vehicle was just serviced.
The 10 bolt, open rear end has a driver gear and works as it should.
While this '52 maintains a lot of it's originality, it also has a myriad of new parts...
NEW
Edelbrock electric fuel pump
Mr. Gasket fuel regulator
Fuel Sending unit
Front Shocks
Coker Classic wide whites Radial Tires (less than 500 miles)
These new things along with the old things make this classic a moving piece of history that will be enjoyed by it's new owner for another 66 years. Don't miss out on a deal as this is exactly that.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
