Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1999 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 4x4! In 1934 for the '35 model year, Chevrolet unveiled their new Suburban Carryall on the Master platform. America was immediately hooked and would become one of Chevy's most profitable models. The Suburban has seen drastic changes over the decades, especially after 12 generations spanning nearly 90 years. Only time this model was not manufactured was between 1942-1946 when the U.S. Government shutdown all civilian automotive manufacturing when America waded into WWII in response to Pearl Harbor. The Suburban is the longest running nameplate in American production! This '99 model is far from your standard Suburban. Not only is it a K2500 (3/4 ton frame) and 4x4 but she was a special production model for use at the New Berlin, IL Fire Department. She is kitted out with strobe lights, siren, lightbar, and 2-way radio. The exterior white paint is in good shape. The letting and stripes are vinyl and can be removed. Inside you'll find gray leather interior that is in very good order and goes well with the exterior tones. Under the hood is a 7.4L Vortec 454ci V8 backed by an automatic transmission. She has a floor shift 4x4 with low range. Per the owner it was never used for towing. Couple that with the mileage being 93k elapsed on the odometer that should tell you something about its car and low usage. Probably why she is in such good shape. Current owner has had her for over 5 years. Acquired from the Fire Department which should make this a 2-owner truck. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now. This K2500 Suburban will not last long. Don't delay and call us today, otherwise you may be too late. Options on this Suburban include: A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Locks, Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, AM/FM/CD Radio, Seatbelts, Hub Caps, and Radial Tires. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
