Dodge Coronet 1969

General description : 1969 Dodge Coronet Matching #s 440 727 Auto Trans Sure Grip 8 3/4 Rear AC PS PDB
Up for sale we have a 1969 Dodge Coronet RT. This is a true RT car that features the Matching Numbers Engine and Trans. It's also one guaranteed to be one of the nicest Coronet's you'll find on the market today! From first glance there's no denying the quality of restoration that this Mopar has under gone. It all starts with a rock solid body has near perfect gaps and fit of all the panels. The iconic body lines flow beautifully from front to back and are one of the things that makes us love these late '60 Dodges so much. This car was restored in its factory T7 Dark Bronze Metallic Exterior but was upgraded to Base coat Clear coat. The paint has been meticulously maintained since restoration and is buffed and polished to a mirror finish that's slick as a ribbon. All of the exterior Chrome, Trim, and moldings from the grill to the bumpers are in excellent condition and really show off this Bronze Exterior. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 14” Steel Wheels painted body color with Firestone Red Line Tires and the Dog Dish Hub Caps.
On the inside it follows suite with the exterior being kept in the factory color of Buckskin Tan. This is a factory bucket seat car that offers the console with the woodgrain trim. Looking on the inside a lot of it appears to be original and in phenomenal condition. All the seat covers are excellent along with the padding, and the door panels, headliner, and carpet are great as well. This car has obviously been very well taken care of over the years as the dash is gorgeous with all the lights working as they should along with the Speedo, Factory Optioned Tach, Clock, Gas, Temp, Oil, and AMP gauges. You'll also notice this car came from the factory with Air Condition that is working as it should as well. In the trunk it all appears rock solid and comes with the trunk mat, spare, and jack!
Under the hood it's powered by the Matching Number 440 Engine that is mated to the Matching Number 727 Trans and to a Sure Grip 8 ¾” Rear End with around a 3.23 Gear. The 440 is set up with the correct '69 Model Four Barrel Intake and a Holley 600 CFM Carb. It's dressed with the stock style Magnum Breather and stock style valve covers. As we mentioned this is a factory AC car, but it also comes with Disc Brakes on the front that are Power along with Power Steering. The detail under the hood of this Dodge is beautiful and you can see it does have the fender tag and the radiator support is correct as well. When you get up in the air it's equally impressive as it appears to have all the factory metal with no signs of patchwork. It even has the factory under coating still! The exhaust has been upgraded to the flowmaster style mufflers that run back from the dual pipes and the '69 Model Manifolds 2843992 and 2806900. All the front end suspension looks to be in excellent condition along with the brake lines, fuel lines, and gas tank.

About Dodge
Dodge Brothers Company, founded by Horace and John Dodge in 1900, initially produced components for car manufacturers. In 1914 they stepped into car manufacturing when introducing four-cylinder Dodge Model 30 with all-steel body and 12v electric system.

By 1920 Dodge had become the second biggest car manufacturer in the USA, unfortunately the same year both of the brothers died, the company in turn to was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928. Dodge found a niche Chrysler Corporation lineup above low-priced Plymouth and medium-priced DeSoto, but somewhat below the top-of-the-line Chrysler
