Dodge Dart 340 V8 1970

General description : 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger Matching #s 340 Air Condition 4 Speed FACTORY BLACK CAR
Up for sale we have a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340. The '70 model got a new design to the front and rear giving it a style that better fit the full-size them that Dodge had in this era. This was also the first year for the Challenger so to reduce competition with Dodge's new model the Dart's top engine option was the 340! The one we have for you is a gorgeous car that sports so great options as well. It comes with the ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET and is a factory black car. The front and rear are the most notable changes from the '69 model, but you'll also notice down the body lines changed down the side too. This '70 has an amazing body with excellent fit of all the panels and all the gaps are great as well. One thing you're sure to notice is the dual scoop hood which gives it an iconic muscle car look. This Dart is a factory Black car as well as a factory White Vinyl Top car. The paint on it has been polished a beautiful shine that's slick as a ribbon and is accented beautifully not only by the white top bottom but also the White Stripe. All the chrome and trim accents are in great condition, and for the final touch is the set of 14” Steel Wheels with Firestone Red Line Tires and Dog Dish hubcaps.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Dart. On the inside it's done in the Classic Black with the Vinyl Bench seat which is the factory option for it as well. All of the door panels, carpet, seat covers, and headliner are in great condition. Looking at the dash you will see that it looks amazing as well and has the factory gauges including the tach. The dash pad is also in in great condition and you'll notice this car does have Air Condition! Inside the trunk all appears to be rock solid and it has the spare, jack, and trunk mat.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Dodge. Under the hood it features the Matching Numbers 340 Engine that's mated to the Four Speed Trans and the Sure Grip 8 ¾” Rear End with 3.23 Gears. The 340 engine is set up with the date code correct Intake and an Edelbrock Carb. For Exhaust it has Manifolds with Dual Pipes and Flow Master Mufflers. Along with the factory AC this Dart also comes with Power Steering as well Disc Brakes on the front. When you get this '70 in the air you will notice that all of the Floor Pans and Frame look to be original, rock solid, and detailed with what looks to be factory undercoating. You'll also notice that the gas tank has been replaced along with the fuel lines, and that the brake lines appear to have been replaced as well.

About Dodge
Dodge Brothers Company, founded by Horace and John Dodge in 1900, initially produced components for car manufacturers. In 1914 they stepped into car manufacturing when introducing four-cylinder Dodge Model 30 with all-steel body and 12v electric system.

By 1920 Dodge had become the second biggest car manufacturer in the USA, unfortunately the same year both of the brothers died, the company in turn to was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928. Dodge found a niche Chrysler Corporation lineup above low-priced Plymouth and medium-priced DeSoto, but somewhat below the top-of-the-line Chrysler
