Dodge Dart 340 V8 1969

General description : Gateway Classic Cars is very pleased to feature this 1969 Dodge Dart GTS in our Indianapolis showroom! This legendary Mopar ride is powered by a 340 cubic inch V8 with a 3 speed TorqueFlite transmission. It was a more than equal rival for the other Muscle cars of the time. Both big and small block. The “B5" blue paint, with the contrasting white Bumble-Bee stripe, sets off the white interior quite nicely. The owner states that this car had an engine rebuild less the 5,000 miles ago. That V8 power is routed through the transmission to an 8 ¾ inch rear end with 3:23 gears. The car features an AM radio, hub caps, seatbelts, radial tires, and even has a copy of the original Car Production Broadcast. Don't miss out on this chance to own some legendary Mopar Muscle! Be sure to visit our main web page, http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com where you can view 100+ pictures, and a short video of this amazing car in action. About Dodge
Dodge Brothers Company, founded by Horace and John Dodge in 1900, initially produced components for car manufacturers. In 1914 they stepped into car manufacturing when introducing four-cylinder Dodge Model 30 with all-steel body and 12v electric system.

By 1920 Dodge had become the second biggest car manufacturer in the USA, unfortunately the same year both of the brothers died, the company in turn to was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928. Dodge found a niche Chrysler Corporation lineup above low-priced Plymouth and medium-priced DeSoto, but somewhat below the top-of-the-line Chrysler
