Fiat 1200 Spider Pininfarina Spider fully restored condition, 5 speed gearbox 1960

General description : 1960 Fiat 1200s Spider. Initially sold in California in 1960, this car was exported to Europe in 2004 and became the property of an Englishman who kept the car for next 13 years. The car has benefitted from a full restoration process where neither effort nor expense were a consideration. A number of modifications were applied during this nut and bolt restoration. The car now has been fitted out with Bilstein shock breakers, a 2.0-liter engine and bucket seats. The whole process has been nicely documented with many invoices and photographs. All this effort has resulted in a truly fantastic drivers` car with lots of oomph! After registration in your own country, this car is ready to go!

About Fiat
Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (FIAT to you and I) was founded by Giovanni Agnelli in 1899. Their first car 3 ½ CV had a strong resembledence to contemporary Benz, only 25 examples were built. By 1910 Fiat had established itself as Italia's biggest car manufacturer and expanded to the US, where a new plant was built in Poughkeepsie, NY.

At that time Fiat cars were big and luxurious barges for the wealthy or barking mad racing cars like S76 , The beast of Turin, with its 290HP 28.5-liter, four-cylinder engine.

However, today Fiat is better reknown for its small symphatic peoples carriers, Topolino, 500 "Cinquecento" and 600.

What ever your favorite Fiat is, you'll find it for sale here at www.classicdigest.com
