Here we have a 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe for sale. This four-door sedan was factory ordered with the flat head V8 and is in phenomenal condition for its age. This is a great opportunity to own a beautiful Shoe Box Ford that has been very well cared for. The body on it is in phenomenal condition for it's age. Every panel looks to be rock solid and we can see that all the body lines come together beautifully. All the doors open and close with ease and the gaps are all beautiful as well. It's covered in the Hawthorne Green paint that does a great job of showcasing the body. The paint is done in single stage and really stands tall for it's age. All the glass in this '50 is very nice with the side glass all going up and down as it should. We can also see that the trim on this custom deluxe is very nice as well. Down the sides it all lines up excellently and up front the grill and bezels look amazing. We can also see that both the front and rear bumpers have been very well cared for a nice shine as well. To finish off the stance it's sitting on the steel wheels with Ford Hub Caps and the Wide White Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Custom Deluxe. On the inside it looks to be as close to factory as you could ask for. It has the original bench seats up front and out back. The front seat cover has some small separations in it which is the reason for the seat cover. All the door panels are in great condition and are done in the gray with beige accents. Up front it has the rubber mat with the factory style carpet in the back. Looking at the dash we can see that it's all solid and in phenomenal condition. It has the factory radio and clock still. It also has the original Magic Air controls and the original speedometer showing just over 85K miles. This is a factory Three On Tree Manual shift car and it has the factory steering wheel as well. Inside the trunk is all solid from the jams to the pan and we can see it's dressed with the factory style spare and trunk mat.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood it all looks to be as close to factory as you could ask for. The firewall and inner fenders are all rock solid and it doesn't show any signs of abuse or damage. You'll notice that the power comes form the 8BA Flat Head V8 Engine that's set up like it would have been from the factory. It's detailed out in the gold paint and has the factory style air cleaner. The Flathead V8 is mated to the 3 Speed Manual Transmission and factory style rear end. On the highway this is a smooth-running shoebox Ford. About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
