Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette in its cool two-tone silver anniversary colors. The fastback roofline was new for '78. It not only improved aerodynamics but increased cargo capacity, and in the process, these 78 Corvette's launched a new era for the third-generation coupes. The two-tone silver paintwork is in nice driver shape and on the Corvette is still one of the most handsome combinations to come out of the 1970s. It goes far beyond just coordinating two handsome colors. It adds delicate pinstriping in all the right places, including extra ones to highlight the C3's curvy styling along the power bulge in the hood and the Coke bottle fenders. It looks like a custom paintjob, which is why it has remained one of the most sophisticated themes ever applied by General Motors. This even has nice details, like the correct 25th anniversary badging and optional polished aluminum wheels. So, it's a highly correct survivor-style presentation. The lesser-seen Blue vinyl interior has a nice clean look against the silver exterior. This bright blue interior trim is repeated on the door panels, center console, carpets, and even the steering wheel is wrapped in the same leather. This Vette is fun to drive - as you develop a sold hit of power low in the rev range that gets your heart racing and the dual exhaust growling. Add in power steering, the fully independent suspension, and four-wheel power disc brakes, and you will understand that this Corvette is for drivers. The current owner has enjoyed this vehicle for the last 22 years! The way this one sits tells that they wanted to preserve something special, and the way these fires up, and drive affirms its careful life. Options include: AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, seatbelts, T-tops and vinyl interior. So yes, this already has everything you want in a '78, and that's before you even notice the affordable price.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
