General description : Ford F250 Camper Special Pick up for saleThe fifth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and commercial trucks that were produced by Ford from 1967 to 1972. Built on the same platform as the fourth generation F-series trucks, the fifth generation had sharper styling lines, a larger cab and expanded engine options.
In 1968 the F-series pickups got the new versions of the FE-Series engine with options of two Big Block versions, 360 or 390 truck.
The Camper Special options include dual fuel tanks, heavy duty cooling and a larger alternator.

360 FE Big Block Engine Facts
The 360, of 360.7 cu in (5.9 L) actual displacement, was introduced in 1968 and phased out at the end of the 1976-year run; it was used in the Ford F Series trucks and pickups. It has a bore of a 390 (4.05 inches (102.87 mm)) and used the 352's 3.5 inches (88.90 mm) rotating assembly. 360s were also constructed with heavy duty internal components for truck use. Use of a standard 252/290 cam for use in passenger cars along with carburetor and distributor adjustment allowed the 360 to give performance similar to that of the 352 and 390 car engines. Rated at 215 bhp (160.3 kW) at 4100 rpm and 375 lb·ft (508 N·m) of torque @2600 rpm (2-barrel carb, 1968). The 360 used the same block, heads and other parts as a 390, this makes them indistinguishable from each other unless the stroke is measured.
This Pick up was bought in Ft Worth in Texas. It spent most of its life as camper fitted on the back and that is the reason the flat bed is in such a great condition. Most other pickups like this are normally much more abused in the back and this one is like new.
Here is Sweden, it has been restored with new paint, rubbers etc. And underneath with new rust protection. The engine is a 360 big block and is partly restored with some new outer parts like oil pump, fuel pump, servo, steering box, ignition, inlet, carburetor, valve covers etc. Other new parts on the truck: New interior and dashboard, All new rubber, doors, windows, tires and bushings in the front end etc, new front windscreen, brake cylinder.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
