Ford Fairlane 1955

General description : Ready to upset the sea of tri-five Chevy guys at the next cruise night? Well, there's a new sheriff in town and he's a Wile-E one.
Quite possibly the nicest Fairlane out there, this freshly built restomod is ready to hit the streets and gather trophies. The product of a 3-year professional build with 450 shakedown miles on the clock, this '55 Ford is as fresh as they come. Muscle Car Accessories of Taylorsville, NC receives the nod for the outstanding workmanship.
The top-notch body work, precision aligned panels, and mile-deep black paint draws you in from a distance and perfectly contrasts the show quality bright work. Tons of labor hours and pride were poured into paint prep on this one and the payoff is grand! But even the best paint out there can be ruined by poor stance and wheel choice, however that is far from the case here. The stellar body of the stylish Fairlane is lowered and set perfectly over a new set of 18' Billet Specialties wheels wrapped in Nitto 555 G2 rubber. Body modifications are sleek and subtle consisting of hood bird, side mirror, and emblem removal and smoothed and tucked front and rear bumpers.
The same sleek styling extends under the hood where a menacing 5.0L Coyote V8 lays ready to pounce. A far cry from the old school iron that once powered this '55, this cutting-edge all-aluminum power plant puts out a reliable 435 horsepower thanks to electronic fuel injection and Holley Terminator X management. Engine aside, the engine compartment itself is a work of art! Smoothed firewall and inner fenders are left uncongested by masterful hose and wire routing. Low mount accessories hidden out of sight. And a slick satin finish exudes style and class.
All this newfound power and style rides atop a completely new Fat Man Fabrications boxed chassis sporting coil over shock suspension and large anti-sway bars front and rear. The Wile-E V8 is harnessed by an automatic 6 speed overdrive transmission coupled to a heavy-duty Ford 9in rear axle. Turns are handled by power rack and pinion steering, while stops come courtesy of Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes.
Inside, custom upholstered bucket seats take center stage, while matching door panels, premium wool carpet, custom headliner, and a custom designed and fabricated center console add supporting roles. A keen eye will notice that a '56 Ford dashboard has been seamlessly installed and fitted with modern Dakota Digital VHX gauges. The driver maintains control with a leather wrapped sport steering wheel coupled to a tilting column and maintains gear with a modern Mustang shifter that looks right at home between the seats. Vintage Air A/C and a modern Bluetooth ready stereo supply creature comfort, and a matching custom upholstered trunk compartment is ready to handle luggage.
Killer looks, sleek lines, modern Coyote power, and a cutting-edge chassis make this extraordinary 1955 Ford Fairlane a true stand out. Whether you are a die-hard Fairlane fan looking for modern flair or simply hunting for a restomod of a different breed, this is the car for you! We challenge you to find a more stylish Fairlane Restomod!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
