Ford F-150 1956

General description : CUSTOM, 351 WINDSOR, 5 SPD MAN, A/C, BIG BACK WIN, PWR STEER/BRAKES, EXC PAINT!

There are new trucks you can buy on the showroom floor that aren't as nicely finished and comfortable as this 1956 Ford F-100. Packing V8 power, a five speed manual transmission, a high-visibility paint job, and all the creature comforts you'd expect, this beautiful pickup is a secret hot rod that really can do it all.
There's no denying that the mid-50s Ford pickups were some of the best-looking tools ever built. With that aggressive forward-canted attitude (further emphasized by the custom stance,) the curvy bodywork has a classic old pickup look that also manages to be sporty at the same time. This one is custom creation, but it keeps many of the original pieces like the chrome bumpers, door handles, and badging, to travel a bit incognito and keep its vintage style. Fit and finish are good all around, and the deep red shine always looks fantastic on these models. While this Ford is a show-stopper, don't be surprised if people actually spend more time looking at the rear of this one. That's because it has interesting features such as the rare wraparound big back window, a pristine real wood truck bed, and while this pickup tries to fly under the radar with original-style hubcaps, there is no hiding the massive rear wheels.
Open the door and you can see instantly that this is a custom build with a lot of money invested. The standard bench seat has been replaced with a custom leather setup, with sculpted seating for the driver and passenger. The black and red color scheme is continued everywhere on the interior, including the door panels, carpets, and headliner. Everyone gets to take advantage of the power windows, cup holders, power locks, AM/FM/XM/CD stereo, and R-134a air conditioning, but this is a true driver's pickup. There is a custom three-spoke steering wheel with Ford's famous V8 logo in the middle. Beyond that is an upgraded full gauge package with classic looking instruments, and no one can miss that cool hot rod-style tall gearshift leaver.
The moment you pop the hood at the car show everyone will know you have something special. After all, how many F-100 pickups do you see with a clamshell hood? And once people get closer, they will see this beast of a motor shining brightly in the super-slick engine bay. This is a 351 cubic-inch Windsor V8 that's been upgraded with performance goodies such as a Holley Double Pumper carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, MSD distributor, Ford Motorsport finned valve covers, and headers that connect to wicked sounding dual exhaust. The truck handles great on the road thanks to a Mustang subframe up front and a remote controlled air ride suspension for the rear. Traction is well in hand because those whitewall tires are really modern BF Goodrich radials. And being both good on the street and the strip seems to be this pickup's theme. It has a five-speed ZF manual transmission, which means you can always be in the best gear to get the most out of the motor, or you can simply cruise effortless in overdrive. In fact, considering this is a power steering car with disc brakes up front, you can easily drive to car shows many states away without breaking a sweat.
This custom build perfectly combines classic looks, modern conveniences, and high horsepower. This fine Ford has already been getting a ton of attention in our showroom. Don't wait...call today!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
