GMC 100 350 CI LT4 1948

General description : Stunningly shiny, a custom A/C interior, upgraded suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, overdrive transmission, and a performance-built 383 LT4 stroker motor under the hood - this 1948 GMC 100 Restomod is exactly how you want a classic when you're looking to expertly integrate all the best upgrades. And with less than 1,400 miles on the whole build, you know it's as superbly fresh as the pictures.
These classic GMCs always attract attention. After all, they have the similar curves of Chevy's Advance Design pickups with a little bit of extra flair all its own. It also has great classic elements, like the GMC's unique tall grille and real wood in the bed. And when you look at this head-on, there's something unmistakably cool about the distinctive line that runs from the tip of the hood trim, through the two-piece windshield, and onto the roof. But while there's plenty of vintage style, what really attracts you to this one are all the investments that give it a modern flair. They spent time and money giving the chrome an excellent shine just so it could match the luster of the 20-inch American Racing alloys. With performance tires and a lowered suspension, it gives this former workhorse a new aggressive stance. So where once the curvy body panels were just about post-war style, they now have a slippery shine that comes from an awesome application of Candy Apple Red Metallic and plenty of clearcoat on top. Even details, like the LED headlights and taillights help give this classic the right amount of modern appeal.
Open the door to custom luxury. The saddle brown has the ideal classic truck vibe, and it's done in a supple leather. The seat has an awesome look with bucket-like individual bolstering, a fold-down center arm rest, and intricate pattern inserts. The door panels and lower dash have been done to match. There's even plush carpeting and a suede-like headliner. So you really can tell this is a classic with comfort in mind. There are also well-integrated upgrades like an AM/FM/CD/XM radio w/Bluetooth, a USB charger, power windows, and ice cold R134a air conditioning. The bright banjo-style steering wheel is on an Ididit tilt steering column, and it gives you a clear view to the crisp retro-style gauge package.
The engine bay has a smooth presentation with plenty of the same deep red you love on the exterior. And there was a solid investment in keeping everything tidy. So you'll love showing this one off wherever you go. When you look beyond the style, there's a ton of substance. This is the fuel-injected LT4 V8 you loved in cars like the C4 Corvette Grand Sport. But the upgrades are far from over. It's now a 383 cubic-inch stroker unit. Plus, there's the Lloyd Elliot Stage 2 ported heads, intake ported to match heads, 32 lb injectors, BBK throttle body on a custom aluminum intake, Sanderson headers, and 11.75:1 compression. The 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission provides the right mix of stout performance with its 2600 stall, and it also delivers overdrive comfort. This clues you in to how this is both a powerful machine and an easy driver. That's why there are also upgrades, like the four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, and the full front end update with tubular A-arms and coilovers.
This is a fresh build with under 1,400 miles on it. The sale even comes with restoration photos maintenance records, and build receipts that all show the big $$$$$ invested in creating this restomod. This GMC is vintage, upgraded, powerful, and comfortable, so it's the one that can do it all. Call today!!!

About GMC
Did you ever mistake a Chevy pick up for GMC? No wonder as those have been virtually identical apart from the grill and logo since the 20's.
The difference is Chevrolet trucks were marketed towards private users, while GMC was intended for commercial use, so it's more about market segmentation than anything else.
