Buick Riviera 455ci V8 1973

General description : 1973 Buick Riviera Custom The Riviera was a personal luxury vehicle marketed by Buick from 1963 to 1999.  It was GM's first entry into the personal luxury car market and was named Riviera, Italian for coastline, to evoke the allure of the French Riviera.  This 1973 belongs to the 3rd generation and had very unique flowing body lines with a fastback rear window and boat tail design.  The body is very solid and has new custom Malibu Sunset paint.  It is packed with 2 coats of pearl and really comes to life out in the sun.  It has a custom front bumper design and the chrome throughout is all new.  The glass is all in good condition and is tinted.  These cars featured some very unique design choices and simple things like the long stacked taillights being recessed into a chrome panel/bumper piece really look cool.  The car has a great stance and around $5,000 was just invested on new custom Ridler wheels with new tires.  They are 18 inch up front and 20 inch in the rear. Turning the tires is a 455 cubic inch V8 motor that runs well.  Under the hood a lot of components have been painted to match the exterior for a real cohesive look.  It runs nice and cool with the added dual aftermarket electric fans.  The engine is combined with an automatic transmission that shifts smoothly.  The car has a great sound through the custom dual Magnaflow exhaust that exits through chrome square tips out of the rear.  It is a comfortable driver and has power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, power seats and power windows.  Underneath it is all solid with solid floors.    The interior features custom two tone Beige and Brown leather upholstery which is in great condition.  It has seat belts for both front and rear passengers.  The door panels and dash features wood trim which is all in good condition.  It has a Brown dash pad with the lower section painted Beige to follow the theme of the rest of the interior.  The stock gauge cluster is in place but a second cluster for temp, amp and oil readings is mounted below the dash.  The trunk offers additional storage space and houses the original spare and jack equipment.  This is a really unique car with a very cool look.  The years for the boat tail was limited to 1971-1973 so pick this one up while it is still available.  This car has been SOLD! About Buick
Buick, today an American automobile division of the American manufacturer General Motors (GM), was founded in 1899 as the Buick Auto-Vim and Power Company, making it the oldest car make in the US.

To us, the most memorable models in Buick's line up have to be the late 40's Roadmasters and 60's stylish Rivieras with strong Italian influences.
