Chevrolet El Camino SS 454 Resto Mod 454 V8 1971

General description : Description
Slick paint, ghost flames, and a leather-lined full custom A/C interior are all part of the big investments in this 1971 Chevrolet El Camino SS 454 restomod. So you should already be excited before you check out the performance-built big block, four-wheel disc brakes, upgraded suspension, and four-on the-floor.
There's less than 4k miles on this El Camino since completing its frame-off restoration, and the thoughtfulness of this build can be seen everywhere. It all starts with the paint. This might resemble Chevy's legendary Hugger Orange, but you'll never mistake it for that once the sunlight hits this pickup. Instead, during the thorough restoration an absolutely amazing shade of Sunburst Orange was applied. It's better than anything to come out of the '70s, because not even Hugger Orange has the kind of sparkle that radiates from this metallic paint. Added to this is a custom set of ghost flames running up the hood. It sets off a performance feeling that's continued in details like the hood pins and wide exhaust tips. There's an amazing sleekness over the whole body, including expertly deleting trim and the door handles. There's even a flush-fitting tonneau cover. It's on an electric hinge to rise up and make jaws drop. That's because the bed is now lined with gorgeous smooth lumber, and there's even a custom surf board mounted to the top. So you know the days of this truck bed carrying heavy loads is long gone, and instead, it's there just to haul home the trophies. Shining bumpers, clear headlights, and awesome trim make for terrific brightwork. And those Boyds wheels add to the shine while also giving this a 17/20 inch front/rear intimidating stance.
Pop the remote door openers to reveal the full custom interior. This is a nice mix of premium and performance, and the seats set the tone perfectly. They are high-back racing-style units that are also finished in a supple tan leather. The clean presentation of the seats matches the cup holder center console, rear panel, headliner, and the custom door panels for a thoughtful presentation. There are more great features, including cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, power steering, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input and Bluetooth for the best in modern driving music. The Grant sports steering wheel is on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear view to the clean dash that's color matched to the exterior. It's full of professional-grade AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Liter readouts, and that large tach goes particularly nicely with the floor shifter.
An engine bay stuffed with big block V8 power always gets us excited. This one looks nice with the proper bold block, polished air topper with 454 callouts, and cast valve covers. And it's great to see the gasket around the air grabber to seal this one to the fresh air cowl induction hood. Other performance pieces include the Holley 650 double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, HEI distributor, and headers feeding the thunderous Flowmaster dual exhaust. It's a strong powerhouse that said to be rated at 400+ horsepower, and you get to take firm control over it all with the Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. There are stout upgrades, like the 12-bolt rear end, boxed trailing arms, and rear sway bar. And the modern ZR-rated tires and four-wheel drilled & slotted disc brakes keep it all under your control.
Sleek, custom, comfy, and absolutely powerful - this restomod is for the kind of person who demands the best of everything. So if you want all eyes on you tomorrow, you need to call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
