Mercedes-Benz 280SE Coupé w111 1968

General description : We have a very neat matching numbers 1968 W111 280SE Coupé. The car itself is in splendid shape and is well documented. There are a number of invoices present together with a complete car wallet. The care and attention lavished on this car really shows. The bodywork with its factory fitted sunroof is in great condition with nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. The paintwork has been resprayed for purely cosmetic reasons and still has a lovely lustre. All of the brightwork has been neatly looked after. Pop you head through the door and you will immediately notice the fully original interior trim. Both the leather and woodwork have been kept very authentic. We don’t often see that with cars of this age, which goes to show how well this car has been maintained. The instrument cluster and controls are also in excellent condition and in proper working order. The good maintenance also stretches to the mechanical side of things. Whilst the straight-six Mercedes-Benz engines are known to be near indestructible, it certainly pays to carry out proper maintenance. That is most definitely the case with our car with the engine running as smooth as butter. The 280SE has 160 Ps at its disposal, which is more than enough to easily get along in modern traffic at every stage. The well working automatic suits the car’s laidback character. Both brakes and suspension work as they should. Whether you want travel far at high speed or intend to enjoy cruising over lovely twisting B roads, the Mercedes-Bens 280SE Coupé is always the perfect companion. It is also a thing of beauty especially in this livery. This is a very neatly maintained, well documented, matching numbers, brilliantly finished Mercedes-Benz 280SE Coupé with a lovely original interior. About Mercedes-Benz 280SE Coupé w111
The Mercedes-Benz 280SE Hochkühler is a rare and highly sought-after variant of the W111 series of luxury cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1961 to 1971.

The Hochkühler, which translates to "high radiator" in German, was distinguished by its vertically oriented grille design, which gave the car a more traditional and classic appearance compared to the Flachkuhler (low grille) model. The Mercedes-Benz 280SE Flachkuhler, also known as the "flat radiator" or "low grille" model, is a rare variant of the W111 series of luxury cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1961 to 1971.

The 280SE Flachkuhler was distinguished by its distinctive low, horizontal grille design, which gave the car a sleek and modern appearance. It was also equipped with a range of high-end features, such as power steering, air conditioning, and leather upholstery.
