General description : When the Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 production ended in July of 1972, it wasn’t a secret that there would be an impressive successor. But it took until May of 1975 for the top version of the series W 116 was introduced and impatient customers had to wait until September. Daimler-Benz had done it again and created a dream car – the 450 SEL 6.9 was considered the best limousine of its time.Our Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL 6.9 is basically in its original state and has only been very carefully and lightly restored. Its first release was in Germany to a senior executive of a well known automotive supplier. After that the oldtimer was owned by two collectors. It has always been in service with Mercedes and looks like a high end car in original shape and state which is very rare. This top saloon is one of the last 50 models with ABS,
