Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera 1984

General description : 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa, Turbo Look

Purchased new in Stuttgart by a Mr Simmons from Bloomfield, CT it is believed that the car stayed local to CT for most of it's life.

In the late 90's it was sold to someone in MA who drove it very little but at least a few times a year and had the oil changed pretty much every year, along with it's MA safety inspection.

The current owner bought the car in 2011 and did little driving with her as well, however, continued the maintenance. After a year or so of ownership, he wanted to freshen the paint and so he stripped the car to bare metal and repainted in the original Guards Red. Aside from the paint, the car is original and has 89, 836 miles on her.

This came from the factory with the "turbo look", flared rear fenders and whale tail. It also has the staggered tires F to R. Option code 395 tags them as 16" x6" Fuchs in front and 16"x7" in the rear, currently wrapped in BFGoodrich Comp T/A VR4's.

Also equipped from the factory with AC, EFI, Blaupunkt cassette/stereo, cruise control, power windows, power disc brakes, and the leather sport seats (not power, it does not have power steering either). This even comes with a dealer installed cellular phone, that powers up, so who knows, maybe you can get service for it...

The 3.2L Bosch fuel injected flat 6 pumps out just about 200 HP and 185 lbft of torque through a 5 speed manual transmission, propelling the red Porsche from 0-60 in just over 5 seconds.

The car is in very good/excellent condition with only a couple of minor flaws here and there and some cosmetic issues that some deep cleaning would resolve and bring up the car to a 2+. The car is totally rust/rot free. The original compressed, space saver spare, with tool kit and Porsche air compressor is still under the front "hood".

The AC works.. I think... I wasn't sure if I was operating it correctly, however, there were times when playing with assorted knobs that, despite the 90+ degrees when doing the photo-shoot, cold air came out of the vents. The tach isn't working but we think it's simply a wire under the dash and it is being looked at to get fixed.

Truly an iconic car and although not wearing a turbo, still performs like a champ and will always get looks of admiration.

If armed with a turbo this car would be fetching close to $80,000 MORE than the asking price of $55,000 for roughly, only 80 more HP and .4 of a second from 0-60.

Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a time to see her or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for the interest.
