Presented here is a 1941 Willys Coupe which is an icon in the street rod community and with its bad 383 stroker V8 and red chili paint, it makes it one of the slickest builds we have had in our showroom.

The red chili paint that grabs your attention is courtesy of a true investment in a professional hand and plenty of modern clearcoat. The results are incredible! Of course, it helps that this custom build started with a premium Innovative Street Machines body built on an extra durable chassis. But for this mean machine, the details are what count. The door handles are shaved (you open them by remote) and there's no superfluous chrome, which keeps your focus on the iconic electric shaver grille. It's smooth in the rear where the French 38 Ford tail lights provide the lights when you need it. Some cars try to hide their aggressive stance, but not this one, those fenders can barely contain it. The Centerline 18' wheels look fantastic on the front and the rear sport wheels are there to give strength to where the BF Goodrich TA rubber meets the road.

Open the door and this coupe looks like a comfortable place to conduct some business. In between the low-back leather bucket seats is a custom center console that has the Lokar floor shifter and Pioneer Multimedia Navigation HD Receiver stereo with an integrated back up camera. The red chili paint continues throughout the dash and the door trim. CI Classic Instruments make up all the gauges in the dash. So, you know there must be something special under the hood and that is a huge understatement.

We suggest grabbing some sunglasses before inspecting the engine bay. The pulleys, water pump, valve covers, alternator, hoses and nearly every other component has been polished for an attention-grabbing shine. The appearance is meant to draw people in but the full build is designed to blow their doors off. This has a 383ci stroker built by Doug Herbert Performance Racing which puts out approximately 450 horsepower. But this motor is a full build designed to handle a ton of extra power. That's why it has great performance components like aluminum heads, Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS 650CFM carburetor, high performance ignition system, aluminum radiator and an electric fan. You'll love the rumble next to your ear using the 700R4 automatic transmission. This feeds the Ford 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears for great power take-offs. This is a true performance package that's easy to live with thanks to Flameless River power steering. You even have unbeatable stopping power of a performance Wildwood power brake package.

This is an amazing unbeatable street rod in every way – from its stellar appearance to the thundering V8. You know how special this high-quality build is; so you better get your hands on this one before its gone!

About Willys
The Willys-Overland Company, later known simply as Willys, was an American automobile manufacturer that played a significant role in automotive history. Here's an overview of the story of Willys:

Early Years:
Founding: The company was founded by John North Willys in 1908 in Toledo, Ohio, initially as the Willys-Overland Motor Company. John Willys acquired the Overland Automotive Division of Standard Wheel Company, which produced the Overland automobile.
Early Success: Willys-Overland experienced success in the early 1910s, producing vehicles like the Overland Model 79, which was a popular car due to its affordability and reliability.
World War I:
Military Contracts: During World War I, Willys-Overland secured significant contracts to supply vehicles for the war effort. The company's production capabilities were crucial for the military, producing trucks and automobiles for various purposes.
Introduction of the Jeep:
WWII Contribution: In the build-up to World War II, Willys-Overland, along with other automakers, responded to the U.S. Army's request for a lightweight, all-terrain reconnaissance vehicle. The company developed the Willys MB, which became the iconic Jeep.
Jeep Legacy: The Jeep, with its ruggedness, versatility, and reliability, played a crucial role in World War II. Its success led to the establishment of the Jeep brand, known for producing off-road vehicles that gained popularity in both military and civilian applications.
Post-War Period:
Civilian Jeep Models: After the war, Willys introduced civilian versions of the Jeep, like the CJ (Civilian Jeep) series, which were adapted from the wartime Willys MB. These vehicles became popular for off-road and recreational use.
Willys' Evolution and Later Years:
Ownership Changes: Willys-Overland faced financial difficulties and changed ownership several times in the post-war years, eventually becoming the Kaiser-Jeep Corporation after being acquired by Kaiser Motors in the 1950s.
End of Willys: In 1970, the American Motors Corporation (AMC) acquired Kaiser-Jeep. The Willys nameplate gradually faded away as AMC focused on the Jeep brand. Later, Chrysler acquired AMC in the 1980s and continued the production and development of Jeep vehicles.
Legacy:
Willys' legacy is primarily associated with its contribution to the automotive industry through the creation of the Jeep, a vehicle that transformed mobility during World War II and became an iconic brand in its own right. The Jeep's reputation for durability, versatility, and off-road capability originated from the innovations and success of Willys-Overland during wartime.
