About Kellison
The Kellison Car Company, founded by Jim Kellison in the 1950s, was a notable player in the kit car and specialty vehicle market. Jim Kellison started the company with the vision of providing enthusiasts with fiberglass bodies that could be used to build their own custom cars. Here's a brief overview of the company's history and some of their notable models:

Early Years:
Jim Kellison founded the company in the late 1950s.
Kellison initially focused on producing fiberglass bodies for sports cars, allowing customers to build their own unique vehicles.
Models:
Kellison J-4:
Introduced in the 1960s, the Kellison J-4 was one of the company's most well-known models.
The J-4 featured a sleek and aerodynamic design, with a fiberglass body mounted on a tubular steel chassis.
The design allowed for customization, and customers could fit the J-4 with various engines and components.
The J-4 served as a popular base for custom sports cars and was well-received by car enthusiasts.
Other Models:
In addition to the J-4, Kellison produced several other models, each offering unique design elements and customization options.
Some of the other models included the Kellison Astra X-300 GT, Kellison Stallion, and Kellison GT40.
Decline:
The kit car industry faced challenges in the 1970s, including changing regulations and economic factors.
Kellison Car Company, like many other kit car manufacturers, experienced a decline in the demand for their products.
Legacy:
Despite the challenges, Kellison's contribution to the kit car scene left a lasting legacy.
Today, Kellison cars are sought after by collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate their unique designs and the opportunity for customization.
While the Kellison Car Company may not have achieved the same level of recognition as mainstream automakers, its impact on the kit car and custom car community remains significant. The company's models are still celebrated for their innovative designs and the freedom they provided to individuals looking to build their dream cars.
