Land Rover Series II 1959

General description : Land Rover 109’’ Series 2 Pick-Up. This is a unique and top-quality restored Land Rover 109’’ Series 2 Pick-Up. Please note that this is a rare series 2 version, not to be confused with the later more abundantly available 2A series. The series 2 is a transitional type, shortly in production between 1958-1961. Most were 88’ inch models; this one however is the LWB 109” inch model. There are a few other features that mark out the series 2. It has the enlarged 2250cc series 1 petrol engine, an original series 2 item and the gearbox dipstick to measure the gearbox oil level. Our car has been sourced from and totally restored and overhauled by a Dutch Land Rover mechanic/fanatic and club member. No expense or effort was spared in bringing this car up to top-quality spec. Not a single detail was missed in this overhaul; even the bearing shells were sent off to England to be repaired. The whole restoration and overhaul has been documented from start to finish by many photos and invoices. The 100% correct bodywork is outstanding. The superb body panels fit perfectly.
