Lincoln Continental 460 CID V8 1977

General description : For sale in our Chicago showroom is a 1977 Lincoln Mark V. This triple green land yacht is ready to cruise you around in style. At just over 19 feet long the Mark V was the largest of the Mark series and was also the best seller for Lincoln at the time. With just 27,000 actual miles since new driving this vehicle is like stepping back in time to the luxury and opulence of the late ‘70’s. The long slender lines along with the opera windows, vinyl roof, hideaway headlights and shiny chrome trim makes a true statement as you float down the road. The large seats are upholstered in Jade velour which was a pricy option and are very soft and comfortable to sit in. This car was fully loaded when new and features power windows, power locks, heated outside mirrors, working 8-track player, power driver and passenger seat, aluminum alloy wheels, climate control and working Cartier clock. The air conditioning has been refurbished and converted to R-134A refrigerant and cools the roomy interior with ease. The Mark V really stands out with the pointed front fenders, functional side fender louvers that aided in cooling the engine and the classic hump back trunk. From top to bottom this is a very clean and well maintained original Lincoln that will turn heads wherever you go. The 460 Cubic inch V8 starts right up and runs as smooth as silk. The original C6 3-speed automatic transmission shifts very nice as this dream boat cruises you back in time. The build sheet, owners manual, and a vintage sales brochure will also come with the vehicle. About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
