1979 Lincoln Continental
1979 Lincoln Continental
Some cars are made to stand out. Some do it with stripes, or loud exhausts, or gimmicks. This car does it with style and size. 1979 Was the last year for a truly full-size American coupe, and Lincoln was the last manufacturer to downsize.

Runs and drives beautifully
This amazingly well preserved example is striking in its aqua on aqua color scheme, and it's a rolling reminder of a high profile part of our automotive past.
Outside, you're looking at the original shade, Dark Turquoise Metallic. There are no real dings, dents or scratches to speak of, and the paint itself is very glossy. All of the glass is original as is the shiny trim. The Landau top is still as puffy as new.  The bumper filler panels are all intact. Overall it looks more like a three year old car than a 36 year old one.
Inside you're greeted by wall-to-wall turquoise media velour. That's a fabric that looks great new but can pill and shed until it has bare spots.  This interior has none of that. The seats are as soft and full as new. The carpets have been protected by HUGE plastic floor mats and are nearly perfect. The digitally tuned radio works as it should, and all of the gauges and lights operate as designed.  It's a vision in aqua.
Under the hood is the original 400ci V8 wearing nearly all of its original parts. Inspection stickers are still found on the valve cover, air pump, on some lines and more. The engine starts right up and runs silently. It was tuned for low end torque and smoothness, and you can barely hear it run.
Few cars have the road presence of this massive Lincoln. In distinctive colors and styling from a bygone era it's a great one to own. Plus with only 43,100 believed miles, this car is well worth your time and money!
At the Motor Car Group, we're enthusiasts first. We want you to enjoy your new car from the minute it's delivered and the trailer door drops. Before a car leaves our shop, it's gone through comprehensively, both visually and mechanically. We do more than just kick the tires, though: We fill your tires with nitrogen, road test (if the weather permits us here in Cleveland!) and clean it inside and out. We buff the paint using a three-step process immediately before it's taken away so that it gleams when it arrives. Every car we sell, from Sunday drivers through the rarest exotics, is meant to be driven.
If you have any questions before, during or after the sale, do not hesitate to contact us. It's what we're here for! Call us at (440) 914-0000, write us at sales@motorcargroup.com or stop by and see the new shop at 6441 Davis Industrial Parkway, Solon OH 44139. We're 26 miles from Cleveland Hopkins Airport and we can pick you up when you come to inspect or purchase your car. We welcome any prospective buyers, their buyer's agents or inspectors from Monday through Friday during business hours, as well as evenings and weekends by appointment. We're car people who love what we do, and you'll feel it from the first time you contact us. Give the R&H crew the opportunity to serve you: Our passion and attention to detail set us apart!

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
