1950 Mercury Custom You can't get more lead sled then this classic 1950 Mercury Custom. The car has that traditional sled style that always is hit whether you are at a weekend cruise or large indoor show. The 2 door sedan is coated in a very clean pearl Orange with custom white into Yellow and Orange flames which were laid down nicely. Red pinstriping is also in place. The body has had multiple customizations which were all done very well. This isn't just your amateur garage work and the customizations will all stand the test of time. It has been chopped, nosed, and decked with frenched headlights and frenched 1959 Cadillac taillights. The firewall has been smoothed out and gives the engine compartment a clean look. Custom trim was added to the sides as well as a custom grill which gives it that unique one of a kind look. Due to the shaved doors electric poppers are in place to give you access to the interior. Lake pipes run the length of each side and have a nice chrome finish. The car looks perfect hugging the ground but if you prefer the ride a little taller that is no problem with the fully adjustable Air Ride suspension system. Coker wide white wall tires complete the exterior look and wrap the vintage wheels with smooth hubcaps. Under the hood is a 350 V8 motor paired with a TH350 automatic transmission. The car cruises smoothly down the road and drives well. The motor is done in a combination of Red paint with chrome which looks really good. Topping it off is a Cadillac style air cleaner for that extra old school touch. Other components include the Accel electronic ignition, Willet wire guides, Aluminum radiator and electric fan with shroud. The interior is complete in tan ultra leather and is custom throughout. Custom flames were nicely upholstered into the door panels and were well done. The bucket seats or power adjustable and very comfortable. They sit to each side of the custom center console which mates up to the dash. It houses extra storage space as well as the Vintage AC/Heat controls. An Ididit column sits infront of the driver and is fitted with a Billet leather wrapped steering wheel. An after market AM/FM/CD player was added as were VDO white faced gauges. All of the electrical on the car works perfectly via the Painless wiring system. Other power options include the power windows and power deck lid. This is one cool classic that has just the right custom touches throughout. Cruise in this dependable custom Mercury for the reduced price of $56,000.00 $49,000.00!
