Looking for next instant classic? In the form from the golden age of Japanese super sports cars? Another Japanese just-became-a-classic-car landed at MotoeXotica Classic Cars, a 1991 Nissan 300ZX twin turbo that still sports it’s original and highly desirable Glacier White Pearlglow paint. This 300ZX is a true one owner car and still on it’s original issued title from 1991 and the mileage has been kept to a low 23,722 original miles and always stored in the garage. Over the last few years we have had a couple low mileage Toyota Supra’s, Acura NSX’s and Mazda RX7’s offered for sale but we have never seen a low mileage 300ZX twin turboever available out in the wild until we acquired this beauty. The 300ZX unfortunately went through a severe depreciation period yet much worse than its Japanese counterparts (Supra, RX7, NSX) and a lot of these cars got trashed and abused by teenagers and street racers so excellent examples are extremely hard to come by in today’s market especially the desired twin turbo model. Resulting that this particular example we have for sale will be a very solid long term investment as long as condition is preserved.
This car was built in July 1990 and left the factory with the following options €“ Leather package, including leather seating surfaces and a power driver’s seat; Pearlglow paint; and a driver’s side airbag. It arrived by cargo ship in Norfolk, Virginia and was delivered to Concord Nissan, Inc. in Concord, North Carolina.
This is an all-original, one-owner Nissan that was garaged and lovingly cared for and has no previous paintwork that we can find. It rolls on new Potenza tires and its 60,000-mile maintenance work has already been done. Replaced were the spark plugs, water pump, timing chain and all fluids.
Car’s Glacier White Pearlglow paint (code KH6) is in near excellent condition overall, with just a couple of minor blemishes visible upon close inspection. The glass panels are in fantastic shape and the car’s lights are clear, crack-free and show little age. The car rolls on near new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires, 225/50ZR16 in front and 245/45ZR16 in back and those tires surround factory five-spoke alloy wheels that are in very good order.
The body panels are all solid and straight, including the bumpers, as expected from a regularly garaged car. The detailed engine bay housing its twin-turbocharged V6 engine is very tidy and the battery looks new.
Inside, the car’s black leather front bucket seats are in excellent order. The matching black carpet is in very good shape, as is the instrument panel, three-spoke steering wheel with driver’s side airbag, the door panels, mirror glass, center console and shift lever. The cargo area has its roll shade still, along with a bag in which to store the T-top panels. Completing the interior is a Bose AM/FM stereo with cassette player.
Documentation includes original owner’s manual, copy of original window sticker, original retail buyer’s order and invoice, a copy of Nissan’s Security+Plus Gold vehicle protection plan, 2016 CA Smog Check Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR), copy of original NC inspection statement plus miscellaneous receipts and assorted documents.
Competition to this Nissan in 1991 included Acura’s NSX, Chevrolet’s Corvette, Dodge’s Stealth, Mazda’s RX-7, Mitsubishi’s 3000GT, Porsche’s 944 and Toyota’s Supra.
If you have a soft spot for early €˜90s Japanese sports cars, you should do yourself a favor and visit our showroom as soon as possible because we predict this car will not spend a lot of time here.
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 23,722 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, actual mileage title from North Carolina issued 12/91 with mileage showing 6,131 miles at that time. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
