Nissan Other 355 CID V8 Small Block 1990

General description : This 1990 Nissan 240SX SE is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. A replacement for the 200SX, the Nissan 240SX was introduced in 1989 and came with a much larger engine than its predecessor. The name of the 240SX was sourced from its engines size - 2.4 liter overhead-cam four. The rear-wheel drive vehicle rested on a 97.4-inch wheelbase and had disc brakes in both the front and the rear. The engine was mated to a standard five-speed manual gearbox or an optional four-speed automatic. The 12-valve engine delivered 140 horsepower and 152 foot-lbs of torque. The new 240SX also retained the rear wheel drive, which it made it popular for driving enthusiasts. Popular for racing, modifications and tuning, the 240SX came with a sporty profile and race car-like appeal. After the brief history lesson, what we now have before us is a 240SX in name only. A wide body kit has been added to give this Nissan a much more aggressive look. The body has been painted in a bright “Screaming Yellow Paint”, so that everyone will definitely see you if they haven’t already heard you! A set of aluminum wheels with black spokes and a polished lip has been added to finish off the look. These wheels are wrapped in Nitto 555 Radial tires for excellent handling. Inside, everything is all business with amenities being kept very basic. A set of racing seats are trimmed in yellow and black to match the exterior of the car. Aftermarket gauges consist of a tachometer, oil pressure gauge and water temperature. An arming switch and purge button are located on the dash, for the “just in case” located in the cargo area of the 240 SX. To give the Nissan some extra rigidity, and make it a little safer, a 4 point roll bar has been added. To make sure this car is as fast as it furious, a 355 Chevrolet Engine has been stuffed into the engine compartment. The engine is mated to 700R4 transmission which allows for fast take offs, and the ability to cruise at highway speeds without turning high rpm’s. The engine has been dynode at 403 hp, and the blue bottle is capable of adding another 200 hp if needed. A build sheet for the engine, cam specs and dyno sheet are provided with this little street beast. This 1990 Nissan 240SX SE includes; AM/FM radio with cassette player, tilt steering wheel, cloth interior, seat belts, aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in Nitto 555 radial tires.
