General description : Now for Sale in our Dallas Showroom! 1966 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Oldsmobile's "88" is a long-standing tradition with American motorists. The 88 nameplate was used from 1949 until 1999. The 88 was also the division's top selling line from 1950 until 1974. This well-kept example is a turn-key car ready to enjoy. This car showcases over $10,000 spent in a bare metal refinish in its original Laurel Mist color. The 88 received an extensive styling and design re-engineering in 1965. This coke-bottle shaping and rounded lines would continue to 1970. The 1966 model displays the majority of the '65s features with only slight changes, such as a revised grille and tail section. This example proudly displays an exceptional finish in the correct Laurel Mist color. The paint and body are in very good to excellent condition throughout, with few minor flaws on closer inspection. Under the hood is the 425 c.i. "Super Rocket" V8. This is the 2nd year this engine was offered in the Oldsmobile. Factory options include air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. Inspection of the engine compartment will reveal clean and detailed original inner fenderwell steel, core support, and firewall areas. The original trim identification plate is also mounted in place. This is a strong running engine, be sure to play our video/sound clip. The underhood insulation has also been replaced. The engine runs strong and the automatic transmission shifts as it should. Open the doors to the 1960's. This interior features factory checked cloth and vinyl seating in exceptional condition throughout. The instruments are all intact along with the Oldsmobile Transistor radio. An aftermarket Alpine CD Stereo has been installed under the dash and is accompanied by aftermarket speakers. The speedometer is working, but the classic clock is not. The doorpanels are original, showing their age but in good condition. The door undersides are solid throughout. A close inspection down either side will confirm clean and detailed paint & body panels throughout. The trunk is solid as is the trunk lid. The undercarriage is in exceptional condition. The frame, flooring, and trunk pan look to be solid throughout. This is your opportunity to own a great driving 1966 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88. The glass is in good condition throughout this Four-Door hardtop. The Oldsmobile Rally wheels are wrapped in B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A rubber sized at 235/60R15s on all four corners. The original vin tag is in place. This is the 425 c.i. Super Rocket V8. The original trim identification plate is in place, confirming this to be a Laurel Mist green example.
