Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1988 Panther Kallista Convertible! Panther Westwinds was founded back in 1972 by Robert Jankal. Panther was known for making retro-style cars but with modern components. Think of it like a modern restomod back in the 70s. The Panther would see many different models over the years from the J72 up to the rare limited production Solo model. Panther changed ownership over the years but made its way back to Jankal before he passed in ’05. Here we have a ’88 model Kallista. The Kallista used many Ford mechanicals unlike the Lima used Vauxhall components. The Kallista replaced the Lima model back in 1982. The Burgundy paint looks sharp, and the black cloth interior goes well with the car and is in good order. The black soft top looks in very nice shape. Under the hood you will find a 2.3L Inline 4-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This is stated to be the original drivetrain. The car runs and drives well. The odometer only has 8k miles on it and the title and Carfax both support the claim. Current owner has had her for over a year and acquired her from a private owner. Current owner installed new tires in 2021. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! Folks only a believed 100 of these were made and also believed only 30 in the U.S. What a fun little car to take out on a cruise with the top down as she is a blast to drive! Options on this car are: A/C, Power Brakes, Manual Convertible Top, Cloth Seats, Seat Belts, AM/FM/Cassette Radio, Wire Wheels, and White Wall Radial Tires.
