Plymouth Barracuda 273 CID V8 1965

General description : Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this absolutely stunning and rare Rallye pack optioned 1965 Plymouth Barracuda for sale in our Louisville Showroom. The runaway success of Ford's sporty two-door Mustang following it’s' "mid-1964" introduction has long obscured that the Barracuda actually predated the Ford's introduction by two weeks, just a fun fact for everyone out there. While not as popular this as its rival, this little barracuda was a real head turner and the larger displacement made it a real performer as well. With only 46000 actual miles, per the current owner, this Barracuda is a rust free numbers matching unit that would be a great addition to any Mopar fanatic collection, or the 1st timer looking to get into a cool old Mopar at a very affordable price. The Cuda has been repainted in a beautiful shade of Viper Red, and then accented white stripes to give it that special Rallye pack look. The Cuda also has new rubber seals, so everything seals up nice and tight. The windshield, the door handles and rear window trim are all new. Under the hood is the original 273 CID V8 engine. With the low mileage, there was no need to be rebuilt, just freshening up. The engine was flushed to get all the old contaminates out, and the solid lifters have been adjusted. The original 4 barrel carburetor has been rebuilt, the radiator has been re-cored, the heater core is replaced, the hoses and belts are all fresh pieces. The AC unit has been serviced and it is in good working order at this time. The only change mechanically to the Barracuda, the front drum brakes have been upgraded to disc brakes. Inside, the interior has been completely refreshed. Everything from the carpet to the headliner is new, and the original gauges have been refurbished and are now in working order. The Radio has been upgraded to a Retrosound AM/FM Boothtooth radio has been so you now have a variety of music options. The Interior has been finished in the Viper Red and has won a Best of Show due to it high attention to detail. The high attention to detail will have everyone noticing this Barracuda when it’s out and about. Whether you are just starting a collection, or just looking to add a nice piece to your current collection, this Barracuda will definitely qualify for the position!
