Plymouth Other 1948

General description : 1948 Plymouth P15 Special de Luxe

The brand Plymouth was founded by Chrysler in 1928. Plymouth was the “more affordable” model of Chrysler but became a brand on it own. The name Plymouth is a reference to the Plymouth Colony that the English established in America in 1920 and their durability, power and endurance.

The Plymouth P15 series were built from 1946 to 1950 and was their first post-war. If you bought a new Plymouth P15, there was the choice between the De Luxe or Special De Luxe version. The P15 was delivered as a two- or four door saloon, club coupé, business coupé, convertible coupé or wood-body station wagon.

This beautifull restored Plymouth P15 Special De Luxe is built in 1948 and is powered by a 3.567 cc straight 6-cylinder engine. Performed in a Club Coupé bodytype, this P15 has extra space for passengers on the backseats. Even the back windows of this coupé can go down. The car has a nice blue leather interior and the original ex-works Plymouth radio is still in the car and working! The exterior of this car is performed in creamy white with lots of authentic chrome details.
