Pontiac Catalina Safari 9 Pass. Station Wagon 1962

General description : It is getting more and more difficult to find these 50`s and 60`s staion wagons. They are gettin g really popular. Buy one while they are still affordable. Almost all original Pontiac wagon. Original paint, original interior, numbers matching engine and upgraded transmission. Drives perfect. No rust anywhere. Only surface patina. This car sat in a barn for 20+ years by the original owner. The grandson inherited it, took it to a shop to have it fixed up and then couldn't pay for the work. Rebuilt 389 (about 3000 miles ago) with a Comp cam and Edelbrock 4 bbl. The wagon now has a rebuilt TH400 trans (shifts perfect) replacing the original and less reliable Hydramatic. It was installed at the same time of the engine rebuild. The wagon has power steering and power brakes. All new fuel lines and brake lines. Fuel tank is fresh. New radiator. New rear diff seals. New exhaust with Flowmasters (with the cam and exhaust combo; the car sounds great). Optima battery. A/C car with everything (including compressor) but not all hooked up. I would do a Vintage Air kit if I was keeping it. It has plenty of power. All oruginal very nice interior, all original åaint with just ight surface rust here and there. Wonderful car.

Iconic Muscle Car: Considered the first true American muscle car, blending performance and style.
Specifications: V8 engines, powerful performance, and aggressive styling made the GTO immensely popular.
Pontiac Firebird (1967-1981):
Muscle Car and Pony Car: Shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro, featuring distinct Pontiac styling cues.
Variants: Offered various models and engine options, including the Trans Am, which gained fame through movies like "Smokey and the Bandit."
Pontiac Grand Prix (1962-2008):
Personal Luxury Car: Initially a full-size car, later transformed into a mid-size model, known for its blend of comfort and performance.

Impact and Legacy:
Performance Image: Pontiac carved a niche for itself by emphasizing performance, sportiness, and innovation, attracting younger and enthusiast drivers.

Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
