ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood lies the highly desirable 400 engine with the W72 performance package, featuring chrome valve covers. This is the original VIN-matching motor with original components, showcasing an engine compartment that remains largely original. Minor maintenance items include converting the air conditioning to 134, replacing radiator hoses, and installing a new alternator and battery. The shaker air cleaner assembly is complete with all its ductwork, and all vacuum lines are still connected. Original stickers remain on the master cylinder and brake lines.

EXTERIOR: The Atlantis Blue exterior is a rare and beautiful color, believed to be the original paint that still shows remarkably well. The bumpers and spoilers fit seamlessly, and the optional hood bird remains in like-new condition. The shaker scoop is untouched, and the optional side moldings and metal door edge guards have preserved the car's pristine appearance. The 15x8 snowflake aluminum wheels are in good condition, complemented by recently replaced radial tires. The glass T-tops are in good shape and come with optional locks. The door jambs are pristine , featuring an oil change sticker from 1990, and the window seals and weather strips are in good condition. The original dealer Schaefer Pontiac emblem is still present, highlighting the car's timeless condition.

INTERIOR: Stepping inside, the interior is as close to new as you will find. The dash pad is mint with no cracks, and the machine-turned metal instrument panel sparkles with clean lenses and gauges, including a working clock. The tilt formula steering wheel shows no signs of wear, and even the area around the ignition is unscratched. The center console is in good condition, free from wear, breaks, or cigarette burns. The upholstery is in good condition, and the plastic trim is pristine. The headliner is nice, and all interior lights function properly. The light-colored carpet remains in great shape, with a unique carpet square found under the seat from an assembly worker. The door panels are in good condition, with the chrome piping intact. An aftermarket AM/FM radio was installed in 1980 without cutting the dash, and the original receipt is included. Additional options include a rear defroster, delay wipers, power windows, power locks, and a power trunk. The original glove box pouch contains all the books and manuals.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment looks like new, with the jack stowed under the rear deck and a collapsible spare complete with the air bottle, likely never removed from the car. It features a black felt mat with an optional insulation pad underneath. The original T-top bags and floor mats are included, and the trunk light and power release are functional. The paint under the trunk lid is pristine, and the weather strip and jamb are in good condition.

UNDERSIDE: The underside of this Trans Am is exceptionally well-preserved and all original. Remnants of the original paper build sheet are still attached to the rear end cover, and the fuel tank retains its original stencil ink stamp. The rear end has a painted letter G, and the drive shaft still shows painted stripes. The original exhaust system, including the catalytic converter and mufflers with GM markings, is intact, featuring chrome splitter tips. The bottom of the motor is clean and original, and the T10 4-speed is VIN number matching to this car. The floor is 100%, rock solid virgin metal. The factory seams and spot welds are clean. Even the lower inner quarters are untouched clean original metal. It came with the WS6 performance package which included upgraded shocks, firmer springs and bushings, larger sway bars and disc brakes at all 4 wheels.
