Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Pontiac Lemans GTO Tribute Convertible! In the early 60s Pontiac was looking to introduce a new car to the market and unveiled the Lemans. It was placed as the top-of-the-line version of the Tempest. It would only take until 1963 for the Lemans to appear as its own model in the Pontiac lineup. The Pontiac Lemans would see 5 generations across 20 years. The GTO designation would first appear as a package for the lemans in 1964 and would start an incredible movement in the automotive world ushering in the muscle car wars! Here we have a ’65 model that was born a Lemans but has been turned into a GTO tribute. Walking up on this car chills run down your spin and a sharp grin cracks on your face. The red paint looks great and truly sets off the awesome lines of this car. The black vinyl seats look nice and comfortable, certainly complement the red exterior and are in good order. The black-soft top looks good and is a power top. Under the hood, per the owner, is a rebuilt 400ci V8. Power is ran down through a rebuilt 3-speed with O/D 200r4 automatic transmission. There are receipts showing the engine and trans rebuild and installation spring-summer 2020. The car runs and drives out well. Current owner has had her for over 2 years, acquired from a friend and is believed to be a 3-owner car. Stack of receipts provided with work done to this car dating back over 20 years ago from past owners and also hand written notes. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now. A car of this caliber, that looks as sharp as this one and drives out this well and priced in this bracket will not be around long. Don’t miss your chance and call on this GTO Tribute Convertible! Options on this Pontiac include: A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Automatic Convertible Top, Vinyl Interior, AM/FM/CD Radio, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires.
