Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this jaw dropping 1964 Pontiac Lemans GTO Tribute. In 1964, the Pontiac GTO arguably started the American muscle car craze as we know it. The strategy of taking a large displacement high horsepower engine and cramming it into a mid-size platform was automotive magic. The GTO, lovingly referred to by Pontiac enthusiasts as "The Goat," just may be the greatest muscle car of all time. This '64 Pontiac began life as a Lemans and over the past decade has been painstakingly restored and reassembled as a GTO Tribute. The current owner has photo documentation of the build along with in excess of over sixty thousand dollars in receipts. A period correct 389ci is nestled in the detailed engine bay and connected to a 700r4 overdrive transmission. A Cold Case radiator keeps the powerplant cool while Classic Auto Air keeps the occupants inside cool. From four wheel disc brakes, tubular control arms, Dakota Digital gages, to Flowmaster exhaust the list keeps going. This may be a "Tribute" to the greatest muscle car of all time, however, the build quality and performance is at a much higher level than anything available in 1964. If the performance improvements and upgrades haven't already got you excited, we haven't even mentioned the absolutely beautiful Marimba Red and when you add the Parchment interior...you just have to see it to believe it. You can find this beautiful Pontiac in the main showroom of our Tampa showroom.
