Porsche 911 / 930 Turbo 3.3 Speedster Very rare car, stunning condition 1989

General description : The Porsche 930 Speedster was introduced by Porsche in 1988 as a homage to the iconic 356 Speedster that by then had been out of production for 30 years. They used the G-model generation 911 as a starting point. Prospective buyers were given the choice between a “911 Slantnose Speedster”, a normal “911-body Speedster” or our version, the “930 Speedster with a Turbo bodywork”. The Porsche 911 Speedster, just as its ancestor the 356, was mainly intended for the American market. Although the States were in recession at the time of its introduction, Porsche’s announcement that this was a limited edition car was enough to make the 930 Speedster a roaring sales success. In total 2,104 911 speedsters were built. Our 911 Speedster is an exceptionally original example with only 29.000 kilometres. The “Indisch Rot” finish (95% original) with the black leather interior trim and the iconic Fuchs rims lift this Turbo-body 911 to astronomic heights. This Speedster was supplied from new to the States on 1st July 1989. In 1996 the Furth-Erlangen dealer imported the Porsche to Germany, where it was officially registered on the 14th April 1997. The Porsche dealership clearly had complete confidence in this product as the service book certificate shows he gave the car a full year total guarantee. He also changed the mileage counter to a kilometre one, again neatly documented in the car’s service book. Every service since 1997 is there and has been recorded. The car comes with the original service book and a pile of invoices. The 911 Speedster was a superstar when introduced and has enjoyed celebrity treatment ever since. She has wanted for nothing and has been driven with tender, love and care. Generally speaking the car’s condition is nothing other than exceptional. This Speedster has remained undamaged from day one on. The completely original bodywork is in top quality condition. The thin body panels are as straightly aligned as when it left the Stuttgart factory in 1989. The hood of is of exceptional quality and has a good seal when closed. Most of the car’s first original paint has been extremely well preserved. The super Fuchs rims are also in top condition. The fully original black leather interior trim is as good new. Underneath the Speedster it is also pristine. Mechanically the car has been perfectly maintained over the years. The engine is in the kind of top form that one would expect from a low mileage, well-maintained example. The 3.2 six-cylinder boxer engine, delivering 231 Hp, runs perfectly. The manual G50 shifts smoothly and sure-footedly through its range. This 911 Speedster has a fantastic amount of factory-fitted extra’s. It has a limited split differential, driver’s heated seat, electrically adjustable seats, cruise control, leather clad steering wheel and gear knob, headlight sprinklers and a Blaupunkt radio. If you are considering a top quality, low mileage Porsche 911 Speedster, we would certainly add this one to your list! Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975! About Porsche 911 / 930 Turbo 3.3
The Porsche 930 Turbo, also known as the Porsche 911 Turbo, was first introduced in 1975 as a high-performance variant of the Porsche 911. The 930 Turbo was designed to be a fast and powerful sports car that could compete with other high-performance cars of the era.

The original 930 Turbo was powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-six engine that produced 256 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. It was also equipped with a number of advanced features for its time, such as a four-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and a limited-slip differential.

In 1978, the 930 Turbo was updated with a larger 3.3-liter engine that produced 300 horsepower and 303 lb-ft of torque. This engine was also equipped with an intercooler, which helped to improve performance and reduce the risk of engine damage from high temperatures.

Over the years, the Porsche 930 Turbo underwent a number of changes and updates, including changes to the body style, interior, and engine. In 1989, the final year of production for the 930 Turbo, Porsche introduced the 930 Turbo S, which was a limited-edition model that featured a more powerful engine and a number of other upgrades
